Character history: The most important thing to know about Remus is that he's a werewolf. Despite this, the headmaster of his school, Hogwarts, allowed him to attend. No one knew about his condition, and he was afraid that one day someone would find out. Every full moon, he'd go to a nearby building that no one every went to. As a wolf, he'd tear himself up because there was no one else to bite and claw at. Unfortunately, this was before the convenient invention of the Wolfsbane potion. He made three friends at school: Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew. They all got along very well, but they were suspicious of Remus when he would disappear for a few days each month. One day, they followed him and learned of his terrible secret. Remus thought that his carelessness had cost him his friendship, but Sirius, James, and Peter thought nothing of it. Instead of abandoning Remus, they became Animagi, humans who can change into animals at will. Every full moon, they'd transform and accompany him. They were like this until they graduated from Hogwarts. Years later, after James had married a girl named Lily, the most feared dark wizard, Voldemort, came after the married couple. They asked Peter to be their secret-keeper, but he betrayed them. Voldemort killed James and Lily. Sirius knew of Peter's betrayal, and he sought his so-called "friend" out, but Peter pulled a cheap stunt and faked his own death. Sirius was accused of the crime and thrown in wizard prison, leaving Remus alone and friendless once again. (Remus is from HBP, book 6. The end.)
Character personality: Remus is generally full of angst at this point in his life. He's very smart and loves to read. He cares about others, avoids violence, and values his friends more than anything. Even when he's feeling terribly sad, he won't push his feelings onto others. He'd rather not burden them with his problems when he could be helping them with theirs. He's a compassionate person with an extraordinary love for chocolate.
Physical description: He's fairly skinny and he has scars all over his body. His skin is pale and his eyes are amber (maybe). His hair is light brown and he likes to wear it back in a ponytail (according to me). Because he's a werewolf, he doesn't have much money, so his clothes are always shabby and worn.
